Harris
Na Hearadh
The island of Harris, in the
Outer Hebrides, is actually a part of the same island as
Lewis,
but considered separate by the hills between Lochs Seaforth (east) and Resort
(west). Harris can be reached by following the A859, from Stornoway on Lewis;
alternatively there is a ferry from Uig on
Skye, a
crossing of about 1 hour 30 minutes, as well as another ferry connection to
North Uist.
